So, disclaimed: I love Ocean Seafood Village and I've been coming to this place since I was a little kid. I live in Vancouver now, and I can't find Chinese food that beats this place. The owner, Phillip, is so sweet and comes to chat with us each time we visit. He really cares about the food and his customers, and there's a reason this place has been in business for so long.
Anyways, the food here is awesome. "Must-orders" are the beef and broccoli, peking chicken (this is the stuff food dreams are made of - it's really good), and the house special chow mein. Ask for the crunchy noodles - they rock.
I know this place doesn't look too impressive from the outside - but you won't be disappointed once you dig in. I know that sounds sort of cheezy, but I stand by that statement. -

We've lived in Maple Ridge for 30 years and order Chinese food maybe twice per year. A few weeks ago we decided to try Ocean Village and enjoyed the food as well as the simple clean atmosphere. The Braised E-Fu Noodles with Mushrooms are incredible! Tonight we ordered for takeout and the same dish did not disappoint. My husband raved over what an awesome selection I made and I couldn't agree more. We had the same noodle dish, plus a most interesting and delish Lovebird Fried Rice, an ordinary looking though fine tasting Sliced Chicken with 3 Kinds Vegetables, Prawns & Scallops in Black Bean Sauce, and Szechuan Gui Ding. The scallops are tiny but expected for the price, the flavours again all fantastic.

If I'm having Chinese food in Maple Ridge it's always ocean village I find it consistently delicious, clean and the staff are all very friendly.... great for group dinners and take out as well

Decided to go to this restaurant on a Friday night for a first date. I chose this paticular restaurant due to its advertisement as having live crab, lobster and oyster. The menu itself had some interesting items as well, so off I went. Unfortunately this is what I found..
1. Tablecloths old and badley stained as well as dirty bathrooms and overall disrepair.
2. No fresh shellfish only precooked crab which I was charged live well prices.
3. Even the more interesting menu items like lettuce wrap, crispy duck skin, scallops were all unavailable.
This is not a high end Chinese seafood restaurant and I was very disappointed with both the food and the cleanliness of the place. It's probably OK for typical chicken balls on rice but that's it. -

Delicious authentic Chinese food. Very family style here. Great appetizer soups and oyster. Love the crab and lobster combo
